Promote strategy to promote domestic tourism in Guatemala
Guatemala City, Nov 23 (AGN).- Promoting national domestic tourism during the end of the year is the objective of a strategy that promotes the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (Inguat).
This strategy is called Guatemala is our land and its objective is to publicize the different tourist sites that the country has.
It is an opportunity for citizens to enjoy different activities and gastronomy at this time of year, especially in the adventure and culture segments, Inguat explained in a statement.
Likewise, Anayansy Rodríguez, head of the institute, mentioned that the strategy is intended to invite different audiences to visit the destinations and attractions that the country offers.
In addition, he pointed out that the end of the year parties represent an opportunity for Guatemalan families to share together and create memories.

In addition, it is considered important due to the direct and indirect economic contributions that are generated for the industry.
According to Inguat’s Market Research and Analysis Department, one million 700 thousand internal tourism trips could be reported at the end of the year. This would represent an economic benefit of one thousand 744 million quetzales.
Finally, the entity urged Guatemalans to carry out responsible internal tourism. This includes being informed about the destination to be visited and respecting the customs and culture of the place. A call was also made to clean the tourist attractions that are visited.
