Humanitarian assistance reaches neighbors of Chinautla affected by rains
Guatemala City, Nov 23 (AGN).- Families that were affected by various incidents caused by the rains in Chinautla received humanitarian assistance from the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred).
The support reached 12 nuclei originating from the Pila Seca canton and the village of San Antonio Las Flores, after the damage assessment and needs analysis carried out by local authorities.
The Departmental Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Codred) of Guatemala received the reports and arranged for help with Conred, whose staff transferred food and cleaning supplies to those affected.

According to the report, the rainfall recorded over the territory caused mudflows, flash floods and undermining, which made the preventive evacuation of residents necessary, in order to avoid tragedies.
The nuclei that reported damage in Pila Seca were three, while in Saint Anthony the Flowers They rose to nine. Each received the following:
- family food ration
- personal hygiene kit
- water purifying bucket
- bags of purified water
- kitchen kit
- cleaning kit
La Conred reported that assistance to residents affected by the rains continues, through actions that are coordinated with local governments and community development councils (Cocode).
For the transfer and distribution of humanitarian assistance, we have the support of entities such as the Guatemalan Army.
