The National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology(Insivumeh) detailed the atmospheric conditions for the day November 23.
According to José María Rodríguez, forecaster for Insivumeh, the environment presents clear sky due to the low presence of clouds from regions from the south to the center of the country.
The Insivumeh indicated that the influence of the high pressure system from the North to the center of the country continues and there will be the presence of smoke in the Pacific.
During this period there will be dispersed cloudiness at dawn mainly to the North, Valleys of the East, West and Caribbean. The Cobán station reports the presence of snow.
The monitoring of the cyclonic season ensured that no formation of storms is expected. no tropical cyclone in the next five days in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
According to the forecast, the accumulated rainfall for Wednesday, November 23 will have a decrease, despite this, rains with electrical activity may occur during the evening in the southern regions.
There may also be some drizzle in the Caribbean or Northern Transversal Strip.
Rodríguez indicated that the wind will have a northerly direction with speeds between 20 to 30 km/h in the Central Highlands and Valles de Oriente, which will present an increase in mountainous areas. In the aforementioned regions, anticipates cold at night.

César George, head of Meteorology of the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh), stated that from December to March the approach of between 13 and 16 cold fronts is expected.
The cold season in the country will impact several departments, with a special impact in December and January.
He added that during the two coldest months there will be between four and six cold fronts per month.
The departments with the lowest temperatures will be San Marcos, Huehuetenango, Quetzaltenango and Totonicapán, in which the Insivumeh forecasts temperatures of -6 to -4 degrees, while in the central highlands it will present a climatic state of between -3 to -1 degrees and the capital city will be between 8 to 10 degrees.
