Images: 217 Guatemalan migrants abandoned in Chiapas
Mexican authorities rescued 368 migrants in the town of Copainalá, in Chiapas, abandoned in a clandestine camp.
The authorities of the National Institute of Migration (INM) reported that they received notice of the unusual presence of women, men and minors who would be transferred to the United States (USA).
The foreigners were found near the Grijalva River, an area with difficult access, so the authorities came walking to find the migrants.
The people are of different nationalities, including 217 of Guatemalan origin, who received medical assistance.

The protection of the people was carried out by the INM in coordination with the National Guard and the Mexican Army, who were alerted by the residents of the area of a large group of migrants who were abandoned in the vicinity of the highway that connects Copainalá with Chicoasén, in the Mexican south.
Is about 228 male adults, 30 single minors, 30 family units with 54 members, and 66 females.
In a first group, the authorities transferred six pregnant women, so the process was slow, due to the condition of these people.
