A tragedy occurred last Tuesday, November 16, in the Ojo de Agua canton, Colmenas village, Villa Canales, where a man, apparently in a drunken state, killed his wife and then committed suicide after finishing the birthday party. of their 3-year-old daughter.

According to the preliminary report of the Volunteer Firefighters, they were alerted to an incident in a house located in lot 20 of the Ojo de Agua canton, and upon arrival they located the bodies of a man and a woman, apparently married, inside the building.

In addition, they found a 3-year-old girl safe and sound, apparently the couple’s daughter.

The preliminary report details that the victims were identified as Elida Vaness Gómez García, 23, who was attacked with an ax and her body was left lying on the bed in the room.

The attacker is presumed to be her husband José Faustino Rosales, who, according to the authorities and relief services, committed suicide in the same room after killing the woman.

The man tied a noose to a beam in the house and then placed the other end around his neck and hanged himself.

The minor remained at the crime scene until rescuers arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary data, the couple had celebrated the 3 years of their daughter’s life, but after having ingested liquor there was an argument that ended with the death of both.

Authorities reported that they are still investigating the case and the circumstances in which the incident occurred.
