Mineduc recognizes labor skills of female entrepreneurs in El Estor
Izabal, Nov 10 (AGN).- The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) evaluated the knowledge of a group of women who make baskets with plastic thread, in El Estor, Izabal. The process made it possible to certify the labor competencies of the entrepreneurs.
The ladies were trained thanks to the Municipal Centers for Training and Human Education (Cemucaf) program, of the Departmental Coordination of Extracurricular Education. In addition, it had the support of the Secretary of Social Works of the President’s Wife (SOSEP) and the municipal directorate for women.
The certificate and diploma obtained by the participants is valid nationally and internationally. It has a personal code and its respective QR, which gives certainty that the document is legitimateindicated the authorities.
With the certification, the Mineduc supports the skills of the beneficiaries, which allows them to verify that they know the technique to make the aforementioned product. According to the authorities, this represents academic support when applying for a job, for example.
The alliance between SOSEP and the Education portfolio has made it possible to certify the labor skills of entrepreneurs from different parts of the country, who have strengthened their skills in various trades, free of charge.
About the benefit
The certification of labor competencies is in charge of the General Directorate of Extracurricular Education of the Ministry of Education. The objective of the project is to formally recognize the skills acquired by individuals in a trade.
This benefits the population that did not pursue a degree but works in various activities, which have become their source of income. The Ministry of Education periodically carries out certification sessionsboth at home and abroad to support this sector.
One of the purposes is to offer complementary training opportunities to improve and update people’s knowledge.
In addition, in this way it is intended to socially dignify those who have a trade. Those who have been certified include masons, seamstresses, nannies, farmers, carpenters and pilots.
