This Wednesday at a press conference, the President of Communications Juan García and the Rector of the University of San Carlos, Walter Mazariegos, They made it official that the longest-serving soccer team in Guatemala will be the new host of the First Division League.
This news caused a stir a week after the Alba institution announced that the team that played in the highest promotion category would no longer continue from the next championship.
That is why, University of San Carlos acquired the rights of the sports file to return to the League First Division.
“Communications through its administrative council announced that the project would not continue in the First Division. It was very important that this project continue in good hands. The most important factor was that the file would remain in the hands of people who love soccer”, mentioned the president of the Communications Club.
Notably the san carlistas team, will follow at least the next championship with the name of Communicationsthis due to the record that exists in FIFA and it would be until next season that he already competes as University of San Carlos.
