Guatemalan tourist offer is made known in international events

Guatemala City, Nov 9 (AGN).- In at least three countries in America and Europe, Guatemala has announced this week the tourist offer it has, to attract visitors to the country.

The participation of the nation is carried out through the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (Inguat) with the aim of promoting services and national commercial offer during November.

These activities give the opportunity to present Guatemala, amazing and unstoppable, capitalizing on the positive image of the country in international markets, the institute said in a statement.

In addition, he mentioned that this is intended to strengthen the sector, which registered the visit of one million 263 thousand 394 international visitors to Guatemala. This figure corresponds to the period from January to September.

That is why, from November 7 to 9, Inguat participated in the World Travel Market tourism fair, which was held in London, England.

In said event, 10 tour operators and hotels presented their services and business meetings were also established to improve the commercial relationship. This was accompanied by Inguat and the Embassy of Guatemala in the United Kingdom.

In America

On the other hand, on November 8, a trade mission visited San José, Costa Rica. The goal was to make national destinations known to at least 40 travel agencies in that country. The work sessions had the support of Inguat and the airline Volaris. In addition, 16 Guatemalan businessmen participated, with which 600 business appointments were made.

Also, this Wednesday Inguat participates in an event of the airline TAG Airlines in Oaxaca, Mexico. This activity was intended to publicize the Guatemalan tourist offer to 50 Mexican travel agencies.

A business conference was also held with four entrepreneurs, generating 150 business appointments.

The Guatemalan Consul General in Oaxaca, Noé Dávila, and the representative of the Connectivity Department of the Oaxaca Tourism Secretariat, Samaria Martínez, participated in the activity.
