Anticonquista Café, a mobile Guatemalan coffee shop in Chicago
Is mobile coffee shop Guatemalan was founded in 2020, since then, Elmer Fajardo and his wife, Lauren Reese, have visited different neighborhoods of Chicago in the United States, offering the opportunity for more and more people to enjoy a cup of specialty coffee every morning.
Currently, in addition to using a bicycle to take their products to different places, They also have a small store where they support other entrepreneurs, artists and manufacturers by selling their products.
Best quality coffee grown in Guatemala
Anticonquista coffee is grown on the Fajardo’s Coffee farm, located in Esquipulas. This is the place where Elmer Fajardo was born and where he learned to grow coffee with his father and his brothers.
In addition to selling beverages, Anticonquista also handles the roasting process for the gold coffee that is exported from Guatemala.
A menu with pot coffee
The beverage menu of this family business includes pot coffee, which has cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, orange peel and panela. Elmer remembers that his grandmother used to prepare this coffee, with almost the same ingredients, in a clay pot when he lived in Guatemala.
The menu they offer is for all tastes, since they also have a coffee with oat milk for vegans and a coffee with horchata. In addition, they sell bags of coffee beans with three types of roasts: light, medium and dark, so people will be able to enjoy the taste of Guatemalan coffee at home too.
