Chris Gutiérrez, of Guatemalan origin, will fight at Madison Square Garden against a UFC legend

Chris “El Guapo” Gutiérrez will have a litmus test this next November 12 when facing nothing more and nothing less than the American frankie edgarone of the most experienced fighters in mixed martial arts and who is currently ranked number 12 in the official ranking of the UFC.

Gutiérrez, 31, and Edgar, 41, will face at Madison Square Garden in the Bantamweight bout. This will be the second event on the main card of UFC 281 that they headline the Nigerian Israel Adesnaya and the Brazilian Alex Pereira.

Gutiérrez is a wrestler of American nationality, of a Colombian father, while on her mother’s side Guatemalan blood runs through her veins.

On that occasion, “El Guapo” defeated the American, Ryan Macdonald, by unanimous decision. and celebrated the victory with the Guatemalan flag on his back.

The Guatemalan constantly visits the land where his mother, Gladis Canoral, was born, and has posted photos and videos on his social networks during his trips to Tikal and other tourist sites in our country.
