President Alejandro Giammattei, during an activity held on September 2, highlighted that during tours of the country, aspects with which he seeks to strengthen local governments are addressed.
The objective is to improve the conditions of the municipalities, that is why it is important to work together with the mayors. Remember that 340 strong municipalities make a strong countrysaid the ruler.
In addition, he pointed out the importance of prioritizing projects that strengthen health, education and combat malnutrition.
In this sense, he highlighted the impact of the Economic Contribution Program for the Elderly (PAM), which has allowed the incorporation of more beneficiaries.
Before, this program reached more to the capital, now only 5% is for the department of Guatemala and 95% for the rest of the country. We are focusing on those most in need, assured.
