Lanquetin is crowned monarch of Guatemalan softball for the eighteenth consecutive time
Lanquetin was crowned on the night of October 21 as the monarch of Guatemalan softball and lifted his 22nd crown after winning the final series 3-0.
Lanquetin’s ninth, showed all his superiority within Diamond Carlos Cano Gómez, and defeated Chakatales with a resounding 8-0.
The result rounded off a great final series for Lanquetin, as they won 3-0 to end up with the scepter of the 2022 National Tournament of Guatemalan senior softball.
Pharmacists continue to make history and expand their hegemony in sports, since they have won 18 consecutive titles and the 22nd in their history.
The final series of the second phase of the national contest began on Tuesday at Diamante Carlos Cano Gómez, with the first two victories 10-3 and 10-0.
On Friday on the same stage, Lanquetin got the 8-0 over Chakatales with the outstanding performance of Venezuelan Erick Urbaneja and Guatemalan Fabián Vizcaíno with a home run each.
In the throwing circle, Jorge Segura, Juan Diego Morales and Alain Román combined to claim the win.
The team celebrated their triumph on social networks with a post: “We are champions!!! In memory of our beloved Andy Sherman, tonight we won the 18th consecutive title and were crowned champions of the 2022 National Tournament, after sweeping the final series 3-0 over Chakatales at Diamante Carlos Cano.
