It is known to many that Benzema is a fan of rap and that his favorite artist is the American Tupac Amaru Shakurwho died in 1996 as a result of receiving several bullet wounds after leaving to see a fight of Mike Tyson in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Benzema usually publishes videos with songs by the interpreter of ‘Hit ‘Em’ Up’ In his Instagram stories, he posts photos of the rapper and even uses his phrases or song lyrics in the description of some ‘post’.
But on Monday, at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, who won for the first time in his career, his tribute went further when he arrived at the gala dressed in an almost identical ‘outfit’ the one Tupac used at the American Music Awards (AMA’s) carried out on January 29, 1996, just in the year in which months later he would lose his life.
The French wore transparent circular glasses very much in the style of ‘2Pac’ and a ‘tuxedo’ with a kind of identical belt/necklace which the singer wore around his neck that night in 1996.
