Three weeks after the collapse, this is how the work in Villa Nueva progresses

Work on the Concepción road in zone 6 of Villa Nueva continues this Sunday. According to commune spokesman Byron Morataya, sand excavations are carried out with machinery.

In addition, they carry out standard penetration tests or SPT and seismic refraction in the field.

“In the next few weeks we will have the results and we will continue with the construction phase of the new collector”, reported Morataya.

It was on September 24 when the collapse of a stormwater collector in the area caused two gigantic sinkholes in which seven people fell, of which two lost their lives.

The deceased were identified as Olga Emilia Choz Ulin, 38, and her daughter, Hellen Michelle Mejía Choz, 14, whose bodies were rescued after several days of searching for the vehicle in which they were being transported, and which was buried.

This hole was formed about 100 meters from where the collapse of the CA-9 South route also took place months ago.which for months was intervened by national authorities.
