Guatemala City, Oct 12 (AGN).- The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (Inguat) announced that next November 5 and 6 the Tea Festival will take place in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala.
The Inguat highlighted that the activity will have more than 80 stations.
In addition, it is expected that Guatemalan families can enjoy the dynamics of the tea shopping.
This activity will allow participants to taste for free the variety of drinks that will be exposed. Likewise, they will be able to enjoy a special menu of teas, pairings and exhibitions.
The organization of the event is led by Pachamama Blends, with the aim of promoting tea consumption in the country and offering innovative ways to exhibit this product in the country.
As part of the methodology, the participating stations will be delivering a map that shows all the exposure points.
For this reason, the participants of the tea shopping they can win prizes if they complete all 10 stations over the weekend.

Tea market in Guatemala
The authorities point out that thanks to Guatemala’s climate it is possible to grow a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and spices that are used in the preparation of a variety of dishes.
The organizers of the festival even reported that at the Latin American level, Guatemala is one of the few tea-producing countries. Therefore, through these actions we seek to increase the market at a national and international level.
Likewise, the convocation of agents of change that belong to the hotel sector, restaurants and cafes of Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala is expected.
In addition, they are expected to join the efforts to celebrate and promote this tea culture, especially the one harvested and distributed in the country.
