How to verify if you are affiliated with a political party without authorization?
The Electoral Law and Political Parties (read) guarantees the freedom of Guatemalans to join political parties and its statutes, action that it is more frequent as the electoral process approaches in 2023.

What to do for disenrollment
Disaffiliation becomes an uphill battle due to the centralization of services, says Quezada, who explains that to disaffiliate it is mandatory to go in person to the TSE headquarters or sub-headquarters, when the procedure should be more practical.

The steps for disenrollment are as follows:
- The procedure is personal
- Go to the Registry of Citizens of the TSE or sub-offices of the institution
- Submit DPI to determine party affiliation
- Fill out the form for disaffiliation
- The procedure is firm in three to five days.
Call for Elections
The electoral process for general elections and deputies to the Parlacen will begin with the call, the second or third week of January 2023.
The first phase is the process of application and registration of candidates for positions of popular election.
The second phase will be the electoral campaign of all the candidates.
The third phase is the holding of the elections, counting and qualification of the votes cast.
