Alta Verapaz, Sep 14 (AGN).- The tourist attractions of Alta Verapaz are varied and range from Ecological parks to lagoons and architectural works, which makes it an ideal destination for the next long weekend, which will begin on Friday, due to the rest approved by the Government for workers in the official sector.
The locals invite nature lovers to visit this department and get infected by the good vibes that emanate from its surroundings. Currently, there are several farms that have prepared spaces that can be visited in a single day and others that serve as lodging.
These include Chijul, located on the route between San Juan Chamelco and Santa Cruz Verapaz; one of its attractions is a naturally clear pool surrounded by cloud forest. Another option is Sacmoc, which is located 38 kilometers from Cobán. In addition to its crystal clear pool in the middle of the forest, there is a waterfall; For those who like to camp, there are spaces here.

Local guides also recommend visiting the ecological village Sachicha Riverin the departmental capital, where there are pools of turquoise water, which is due to the clearings in the area.
To connect with nature, you cannot miss a tour of the Candelaria caves, where, in addition to the characteristic crystal clear water, you can enjoy the view of several waterfalls. This reserve is located between the highway from Cobán to Flores, Petén.
