Guatemala City, Sep 28 (AGN).- Diplomats from five countries presented the President Alejandro Giammattei their credential letters, which formalize their appointment as ambassadors in Guatemala.
During the activity, the diplomats held a conversation with the president and Foreign Minister Mario Búcaro, at the Presidential House. With this, they reaffirmed the bonds of friendship and cooperation between nations.
With this act, the Government of Guatemala recognizes the new diplomats accredited in the country and considers that each head of mission has assumed his functions.

The diplomats who formalized the beginning of their management are:
- Luis Felipe Artal Cajiao, from the Republic of Chile
- Yiftah Curiel, of the State of Israel
- Roger Denzer of the Swiss Confederation
- Sami Nmeir, from the Republic of Lebanon
- Najeeb Duarrani, from the Republic of Pakistan
Each of the diplomats reaffirmed their respective government’s commitment to strengthening relations with Guatemala. They also indicated that they will promote various projects in favor of mutual development.

On the other hand, the bilateral relationship between the country and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been maintained at a concurrent level through the Guatemalan permanent mission in New York and by the Pakistan, from its embassy in Mexico. Both countries have a friendly relationship for 10 years.
Credentials
Diplomatic protocol establishes that when an ambassador arrives in the receiving State, he must deliver the copy of style to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
