Mujeres por Mujeres, the professional mentoring program that promotes Guatemalan female entrepreneurship
The initiative, created in 2022 by Women Entrepreneurs Guatemala, guatemala.com Y Wonder Woman Guatemalahas as a pillar encourage the growth of companies created and run by womenvia virtual and hybrid mentoring sessionswhich provide knowledge on topics such as: Leadership, Life Plan, Vocation and Motivationthus promoting female empowerment, progress and results in projects and plansof the women who were part of this first edition of the program.
“At Guatemala.com we support women inside and outside the company, and that is why we created, in collaboration with Mujeres Empiendo Guatemala and Wonder Woman Guatemala, the “Mujeres por Mujeres” mentoring program, whose purpose is to encourage support among women to awaken talents, ideas and professional plans in different areas”commented Alejandra Salazar, director of CSR at Guatemala.com.
In its first version, “Mujeres por Mujeres” had the participation of 36 Guatemalan female leadership figures who served as mentors, donating personalized sessions at 36 participants who qualified in the call in March 2022who know registered for freewhere the only requirements were to be a woman, to be over 18 years old, to have a third-grade degree, and to have the desire to excel in the personal, professional, or entrepreneurial area.
“Growing together and supporting each other is key to continue opening a gap and learning that there will always be a woman who has already gone down that road” manifested María Kaltschmitt, president of Women Undertaking Guatemala.
As the name of the program indicates, the event message is encourage those women who have managed to excel in the business world to share the knowledge and teachings that they have obtained in their trajectory with those who need it, offering a carved guide for other women who are starting your life project and so they can meet their goals, so that these, in turn, share it in the future with other groups, creating a value chain and social assistance.

The program closed with an event of recognition of the effort and time spent from the mentors Yet the dedication and commitment of the participants, who gave their all to the topics addressed during this first edition of the mentoring programwhich was carried out with the support of different sponsors who believe in the development of women. For women interested in living this experience, the second edition will be planned for the end of 2022.
