Guatemala will be a partner of the 43rd International Tourism Fair of Spain
Guatemala City, Sep 27 (AGN).- For the first time, Guatemala will be the partner country of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will reach its 43rd edition next year. This was reported by Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (Inguat) in an official statement.
According to the institution, the fair will take place from January 18 to 23, 2023, in Madrid, Spain.
This will be the first time that Guatemalans will be the center of attention at the event, which will feature more than 10,000 exhibitors from more than a hundred participating countries, Inguat said.

According to Inguat, the fact that Guatemala is a member of the 43rd International Tourism Fair constitutes a wide international platform to show up as amazing and unstoppable.
In addition, it will represent an opportunity to position itself worldwide as an option for tourism, through the promotion of its main attractions.
The importance of being a partner country lies in the establishment of close ties between Guatemala and Fitur, one of the most prestigious tourism fairs in the world, added the institute.
Likewise, it was highlighted that the collaboration will allow Guatemalan destinations to stand out during the development of the event.
With this, the country will be able to take advantage of and capitalize on the potential for promotion at a global level, it was stressed.
Guatemalan Exhibition
The Inguar explained that during the fair not only tourist destinations will be promoted, but also Guatemalan customs and traditions. Also the gastronomic variety and the elements that are part of the ancient cultural wealth.
Likewise, it is planned to highlight the following Guatemalan elements:
- Guatemala City, as the most modern in Central America
- Antigua Guatemala, cultural heritage of humanity
- Lake Atitlán, one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country
- Tikal National Park, Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity
- Chichicastenango, scene of traditions and experiences of the Mayan peoples
- Quiriguá archaeological park, cultural heritage of humanity
- Semuc Champey, a natural paradise with turquoise waters and ecological richness
