CORETIC 2022 AND CORESEB 2022: Communication strategies through different computer channels
The Banking Association of Guatemala -ABG-, through the Banking School of Guatemala -EBG- and the Central American Banking School -EBC-, Educational Entities and Training Arms of the ABG, communicate to the different national economic and productive sectors and the region, that on August 23, 2022, in FACE-TO-FACE MODALITY and on August 24, 2022 in VIRTUAL MODE,, will be holding the XI REGIONAL CONGRESS OF BANKING AND FINANCIAL SECURITY -CORESEB 2022- and the XII REGIONAL CONGRESS OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND DIGITAL BANKING -CORETIC-2022-, two of its important annual congresses that for 11 and 12 years, respectively, have been carried out at the regional level.
The pandemic as an unprecedented event led to unusual challenges in the digital age and virtual assets, accelerated the digitization that was already a trend and accentuated the crime of cybercrime in recent years, promoting the advancement of Cybersecurity that seeks to prevent attacks on the integrity of data and systems.
The new reality has left lessons that have motivated all economic and productive sectors to get involved in a process of adaptation and orientation of their risk management schemes, directed towards new objectives and priorities to strengthen and consolidate the continuity of its activities and Cybersecurity.
The international panorama on information security today represents a problem for the region and the world, which demands taking the actions that the circumstances warrant, cWith the objective of neutralizing and/or minimizing the risks and threats posed by the illicit activities of cybercrime, this in turn is a problem that affects all people who use computer media, the anonymity offered by virtuality and the ease that allows people to manage their private data in virtual environments, has made cybercrime through platforms electronic, is currently one of the fastest growing crimes in recent years. The promotion of more and better tools is key to prevent and neutralize the effectiveness of illicit activities arising from it.
The financial system is presented as one of the most desirable sectors, and it is vital to improve the security and confidence of the financial service channels, in order to move towards a broader digitization of the sector, since the information handled by the users of the financial system, is a frequent target looking to access sensitive data to commit fraud.
It is worth asking organizations how effective their established systems are in combating new forms of theft or fraud through computerized means.and it is a fundamental task to consider better strategies, focusing efforts for a more effective fight against cybercrime, under that premise the Banking School of Guatemala and the Central American Banking School, in their role as training entities, join the efforts that seek to strengthen the control and security schemes of organizations.
The XI CORESEB in and the XII CORETIC-2022, that we celebrate these two days, have been constituted in the space that allows the participants to know and implement more efficient technological strategies of risk management and integral security, that have arisen from new technologies and from the trends experienced at the regional and world level.
The development of both congresses will include face-to-face and virtual conferences, an Expo area for face-to-face and virtual interactive stands of sponsors that present the technology tools available to the participants and provide them with the necessary support for the best practices in Innovation and Technology. Participants will be able to interact with management, administrative and business teams that make decisions on Digital Transformation issues.
