Mateo Llarena selected for Lamborghini Squadra Corse High Performance Camp

The Guatemalan matthew larena continues to find the reward for his great work and effort so far in the 2022 season and was recently selected for participate in a chigh performance amplification in the laboratory of Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

The Sports Directors of Lamborghini did not ignore the good results obtained by the 18 year old young pilot and they chose him in a select group of runners who will be put to the test in the Driver Lab of the Italian brand, located in the province of Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Mateo comes from climbing to two podiums in a row in the Italian Endurance Championship 2022, where he runs alongside the team Imperiale Racing with a Lamborghini Hurricane GT3 EVO. The first one was obtained in Mugello in July and the second recently in Vallelungawhere he was accompanied by two former Formula 1 drivers.

The camp in which Llarena will participate will be from October 10 to 13one day after the last race of the season was held in Monzawhere his team has a shot at the 2022 title.

At 18 years old, Mateo has already had the opportunity to be part of important talent development programs. He currently belongs to the Lamborghini GT3 Junior Driver program, which he entered in 2021.

His training began in 2018, when he was elected to the Porsche Talent Pool. A year later he debuted in the Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy Argentinacompetition in which he finished as the best rookie.
